BBB Road Trip 2019: Detroit & Cincy Unite!
Starting on June 20th, a select group of BBB Detroit members headed out by planes, trains, and automobiles to meet with the BBB Cincinnati Chapter just in time for both the city’s regular LGBTQ+ Pride and Cincinnati Black Pride festivities.
From day parties and boat rides to film festivals and concerts with KeKe Palmer and Todrick Hall, the BBB road trip and chapter bonding opportunities offered something for everyone. Both BBB chapter members and allies were on deck to make sure each experience was a full one.
Thanks to the graciousness of the Cincy hosts, in particular, Brother Tim’m West, who opened up his gorgeous home on that Saturday evening for a formal chapter “Meet & Greet” Reception and Farewell Sunday Brunch, brothers from both cities had an opportunity to get to know one another and better learn how each of the chapters function and foster community.
As a result, both chapters took back valuable information to implement with their respective bodies to help continue to support their memberships as well as one another.
Having first hosted BBB Cincy’s leadership back during the chilly months of winter, BBB Detroit can’t wait to again host members of the BBB Cincy chapter under weather conditions as gorgeous as this! Check out more images from our collective experience below.
