Whippin’ Da Winter Blues: A BBB Multimedia Art Exhibition
As part of the Counter Narrative Project’s National Day of Action and in honor of National African American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, the Black Bear Brotherhood of Detroit is excited to welcome the whole community to a night of original film, poetry, and visual art from some of our best and brightest. Refreshments will also be provided. Come and enjoy a brilliant evening of Black creativity, innovation, and excellence. Featured artists and performers include Phoenix, Charlie B. Keyz, Dennis Fowler, Chase Bailey, Christopher Grafton, Christopher “Inpaq” Sutton, and Johnnie Ray Kornegay, III. This festive evening will also include a brief presentation by Gilead Pharmaceuticals, in light of the national HIV/AIDS awareness observance, to educate the community about new and future innovations in pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Shake off the winter blues and enjoy our festive party with a purpose.
